The workshop focuses on 3 main aspects, namely the body, the other bodies and the space. We will also explore our voices with songs and vocal improvisation. The techniques are compilation from sources such as the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards, dance, theatre, singing traditions and Asiatic movements.
Yap Sun Sun began her journey at the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski & Thomas Richards in Italy from 2000-2002 and since then she has been actively performing and directing with dance, theatre and research centers in Europe and has also performed in numerous theater festivals for example, Wiener Festwochen with the Schauspielhaus Wien, Fleischerei, International Experimental Theatre Festival in Cairo, Singapore Arts Festival, Tunisia Festival etc etc. She has been teaching and leading workshops at the Academy of the Impossible in Linz (Cultural City of Europe 2009) as a part of Linz 09 and various workshops for the Vienna State Library, Austrian Schools.
