how to apply for student residence permit during Covid-19? Peter Marhold answers

Dear all,

Due to the measures taken by the Municipal Department MA35 to avoid further spread of COVID-19, applications for the Residency/Visa renewal or the change of purpose of the residence title have to be submitted only by post mail or email at the competent residence authority until further notice.

Taking in consideration the special conditions and doubts this situation might cause to some of you, Hufak met last week Mr Peter Marhold, the legal consultant at the Main Office of the Students Unions (ÖH), and at the Helping Hands organization in order to answer some of the questions we have come across with:
