The Winter Market organized by the HUFAK will take place at the university again this year with free Punch from 16-21h and a special winter guest concert from 20-21h!

Participants will be able to exhibit and sell their work. There will be a wide variety of art and design works such as prints, photography, painting, illustration, pottery, fashion products, cakes, punsch and much more!

 

Would you like to take part? Would you like to apply as a group or collective? One application is enough.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS Who can apply for a special project?

    • All ÖH members can apply
    • There must be one applicant for group projects
    • Each project (incl. follow-up projects) can only be funded once
    • Factional persons (groups) cannot apply for funding.

Which projects can be funded?

    • The project must still be in the planning phase, projects already started or past projects cannot be funded.
    • The topic of the project must be relevant to the majority of the students at the Angewandte.
      • Preference will be given to projects that have at least one of the following aspects: Anti-racism, feminism, queer studies, anti-discrimination, accessibility, participation, sustainability, networking with institutions, associations and collectives outside the Angewandte

  Which projects are not funded?

    • Projects that arise within the framework of courses
    • Theses (diploma, BA, MA, PhD)
    • Projects with a predominantly commercial character

The student relevance and the quality of the project are examined by the Special Projects Committee. The committee decides on the amount of a commitment or on a rejection. A commitment may be tied to conditions. What costs can be covered? The maximum amount of funding is 1100€. The following costs can be covered:

    • Material and printing costs
    • Loan of equipment (if not available at the university)
    • Catering (no restaurant bills)
    • Costs for “facility management” of the university (cleaning fee, additional porter)
    • Transport costs
    • Room rental (if no suitable rooms can be used at the university)
    • Fees from persons outside the university

Submission The form is available online (application form) and must be completed in full. If necessary for the review, further documents can be attached. However, the main criterion for funding is the hufak form. Submission is possible four times a year, current deadlines can be found on the first page of the guidelines or on our homepage. (hufak.net) The application can be handed in at the hufak office during opening hours or sent by e-mail to oeh_office@uni-ak.ac.at. Payment The disbursement of the promised sum is subject to the following conditions:

    • compliance with the special project guidelines and any conditions imposed
    • Only the costs listed in the application will be covered.
    • Submission of original invoices, signed by the applicant.
    • Submission of documentation

This means that invoices must first be submitted by the applicant and will then be refunded. If documentation and invoices are submitted promptly, outstanding amounts (e.g. fees) can also be paid directly by hufak. Documentation & naming of hufak After completion of the project, documentation providing information on the course, content and events of the project must be sent to office@hufak.net or handed in at the hufak office. Guidelines:

    • at least half a DIN A4 page of text
    • include links to videos, homepages, event invitations
    • include photos, flyers etc. if available
    • if requested by the applicant, we would appreciate a short text and 1-2 pictures to make the project visible on our homepage.

In at least one place of the project (e.g. on flyers, online event invitations, posters, films, etc.) the following notice must be legibly attached: “Sponsored special project of the Hochschüler_innenschaft – University of Applied Arts”. Where the use of logos is possible (brochures, flyers, posters, etc.) the logo of hufak must be used. If no report is sent after project completion or if the mention of hufak is not carried out, hufak reserves the right to cancel the funding.

CANDIDACY FOR STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE

Attachment 6: Form for candidacy as a student representative. Generally, one form is intended per person.

Requirements for submitting a candidacy:

Passive right to vote according to §47 (2) HSG:
Students who are admitted to the respective studies and have registered to continue their studies for the semester in which the election is held (deadline for eligibility to vote is: March 21, 2023, by which time the tuition fee or ÖH fee must have been received by the University).

Deadline runs from March 21 to April 13, 2023 (Attention: Date of receipt by the election commission counts!).

In addition, a confirmation of study or a student record sheet for the semester (= confirmation according to §47 HSG 2014) in which the election is held is required.

The signed form and the enclosure must be sent to the election commission by letter or by e-mail with a cell phone signature (= a document signed with a qualified electronic signature according to Art. 3 Z 12 eIDAS-VO1 ).

German courses

We are very glad to announce the new session for the German courses 2023!

The application process of the German courses for the Summer Semester will be open from Monday 20th of February 2023. There are 48 spots fully covered for regular students from Angewandte.

 

Placement Tests:

Students are advised to make an online placement test in advance. You can take the placement test at the website of the Innes Institute:

Enrollment:

On the day of the registration please send an email to germancourse@hufak.net with your full name, study program, Studienblatt and your course and level of preference.

*The places are limited and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, the first 48 emails with a complete application (including required info/documents mentioned above) will get the spots* 

The registration will be open on Monday of February starting from 09:00 am. (Please note we won’t accept applications that are received before the designated time of registration).

*Please remember that incomplete applications could affect your number (position in line) at the time of the registration.*

To consider:

  • The German Courses have a very high demand and we advise you to book your place as soon as the registration is open!
    In case you don’t manage to get one of the free spots you can still get a 10% discount with code – HUFAK10 for all of the courses offered by the INNES Institute
  • If you don’t plan to attend at least 50% of your course sessions there is a chance that you might not be considered for another semester course. Please be mindful that this will be a spot fully covered for you; if you know you will not have the possibility to make use of it, give the chance to the next student in line.  : )
  • Please consider that during the course level you will be asked to present tests and homework.
  • You will need to cover the cost for the coursebook: approx. 30 EUR, to be paid at online registration.
