The Department of Art and Theory sees itself as the voice of students at the university. We represent your interests within the university—for example, on the Heiligenkreuzerhof Advisory Board or in the allocation of rooms for diplomas—and are also the contact for exchanges with external institutions and associations.
Our goal is to actively support you in your projects. We offer various scholarships, the special project grant (Sonderprojektförderung) and the „lightning grant“ (Blitzförderung), to support your projects financially. If you have any questions or need support with your applications, please feel free to visit us during our office hours.
In addition, we are continuously working to develop new formats that bring together students from different departments at the University of Applied Arts (and beyond). Our goal is to foster exchange, enable new collaborations, and create a critical, diverse discourse between artistic practice and contemporary culture.
