Free German Course Registration Summer Semester 2026

Registration for German courses is now open on first-come, first-served basis.

Course Days & Times

Courses take place at INNES, Favoritenstr. 4-6/1/1, 1040 Vienna. The course book can be purchased on-site on the day of the course: EUR 35 per person.

• A-Levels (A1/A2): Monday & Wednesday, 3:30–5:30 p.m., course starts March 2, 2026

• B-Levels (B1/B2): Tuesday & Thursday, 3:30–5:30 p.m., course starts March 3, 2026

• Easter Holidays: No break

• Public Holidays: Sessions on public holidays will be included

Registration

Registration is done via a short online form: https://forms.gle/BhdYL5fzxQncrqHL7 Please be sure to sign up with your @student.uni-ak.ac.at email address or your registration will not be accepted.

We allocate places in the order of registration and then confirm participation. After the registration deadline, students will receive a link to the online placement test. We will use the results for the final level assignment.

Idea competition for new toilet pictograms

The University of Applied Arts Vienna is launching a competition of ideas for new toilet pictograms – moving beyond the usual skirt vs. trousers, male vs. female symbols. We are looking for signs that include everyone. New pictograms are being sought for all types of use!

All regular students of the University of Applied Arts Vienna can participate. Deadline for submissions is February 28th, 2026. You can find all details about the competition in the Open Call on the Angewandte website.

SOS Balkanroute drop-off point

Hufak is once again acting as a drop-off point for donations to SOS Balkanroute.

Drop-off times:
