Registration for Eloquent’s German courses is now open on first-come, first-served basis. The courses will run for six weeks before Christmas (November 10th – December 16th) and two weeks after (January 12th – January 22nd), with two sessions per week.

Course times for the different levels will be:

Mondays & Wednesdays
15:00–16:30 — B2 Upper Intermediate
16:00–17:30 — A1 Absolute Beginners
17:00–18:30 — B1 Intermediate

Tuesdays & Thursdays
15:00–16:30 — B1 Basic
15:00–16:30 — A2 Elementary
17:00–18:30 — A1/2 Basic

 

All further communication will run through Eloquent, who will contact you to confirm if you got a place and for which level/course.

General information

• Registration will be open on Monday, 3 March 2025,
  from 9 am here.
  The last day to apply is Monday, 10 March 2025.
  
• Any applications before that date and time won’t be accepted.
• The spots are limited and will be given out on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Only to students submitting complete applications (including required info/documents mentioned above).
  
• Be aware that the spots are only reserved for matriculated students of the angewandte. Students from other universities won’t be taken into consideration.

  Please remember that incomplete applications will be put on the waiting list.

  Codes

  If you manage to get a spot, you will receive a confirmation from us, including instructions for the steps to follow. In case you receive a rejection mail, you can ask to be put on the waiting list.

   

  Course Types

  Course Types: A1, A2 B1 and B2 levels (only one option is covered).

• Duration: 8 weeks

• Classes will be held twice a week – 1.5 hours each.

• You can choose between the following courses:

  • A1 – absolute beginners: Monday & Wednesday, 5:00 – 6:30pm

  • A1 – basic: Tuesday & Thursday, 4:00 – 5:30pm

  • A2 – elementary: Tuesday & Thursday, 5:00 – 6:30pm

  • B1 – basic (A2+): Monday & Wednesday, 5 – 6:30pm

  • B1 – intermediate: Tuesday & Thursday, 6:00 – 7:30pm

  • B2 – upper intermediate: Monday & Wednesday, 3:00 – 6:30pm

To consider:

• The German courses are very popular, and we advise you to book your spot as soon as registration is open!
  In case you don’t manage to get a free spot, you can still get a 10% discount on all courses offered.
• The language courses are offered free of charge by the HUFAK Student Union. Course books and other materials (approximately 35€ one-time fee) must be covered by the participants. If you miss more than 20% of sessions without a valid excuse, you must pay a €200 fine.
• If you don’t plan to attend at least 50% of your course sessions, there is a chance that you might not be considered for another semester course in the future.
  Please note that your spot will be fully covered by Hufak; if you cannot attend, please give the next student in line a chance. 🙂
  
• Please consider that during the course, you will be asked to present tests and do homework.
• You will need to cover the costs for the coursebook of approx. 30 EUR yourself, to be paid at the online registration.About the German course institute

We are glad to announce the opening registration date for the German courses this Summer Semester on Sunday 10th of March 2024.

Submit your application by March 17th to germancourse@hufak.net via the German Courses HUFAK SS 2024 form.

The next round of HUFAK-funded German courses in collaboration with the INNES institute will be held both at the university and the language institute itself. They might even be able to yield ECTS (to be confirmed by the study dean).

There will be six groups of different language levels, meeting twice a week for 16 sessions. The meeting times are on Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 PM, or 5:30-7:30 PM, as well as Tuesday and Thursday at these times, respectively. The four earlier courses start in late March, two will start in the last week of April.

The application process of the German courses for the Summer Semester will be open from Monday 20th of February 2023. There are 48 spots fully covered for regular students from Angewandte.

The registration will be open on Monday of February starting from 09:00 am. (Please note we won’t accept applications that are received before the designated time of registration).
